  • Return/Exchange

    Important Notes


    Manhattan Portage unconditionally guarantees all products we manufacture and sell At our online store to be free from any defects of workmanship. We will happily replace or refund any defective items you wish to return. Any non-promotional item purchased from www.manhattanportage.sg can be returned within 7 days of shipping.

    All items must be returned in the same condition they were received, unworn or unused, unaltered with the original tags on the bag and sales receipt. Expenses for shipping the item back are paid by the customer, unless the reason for exchange or return is due to an error by manhattanportage.sg (e.g. wrong item/colour or defective item).

    For exchanges, a new bag will be shipped out once the bag to be exchanged has been received. The cost of shipping the new bag back to you will be taken care of by us.

    Items purchased from the USA online store manhattanportage.com or other retail stores cannot be exchanged or returned to the Singapore online store manhattanportage.sg.

    Unfortunately we will not be able to offer returns or exchanges for International Customers.

  • Warranty (For Singapore only)

    Manhattan Portage Singapore warrants all of its products for 12 months against manufacturer defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, nor the natural breakdown of materials that occurs after extended use. (i.e., fabric abrasion, zipper wear and foam breakdown). Bags returned for warranty service will be replaced at the discretion of Portage Worldwide, Inc. Do not machine wash, machine dry or soak the bag inside out as it will void all guarantees.

    All bags without proof of purchase, outside the warranty period or repairs due to accident, improper care, or negligence, where we are not at fault, will be performed for a reasonable charge. If a carrier damaged your bag you should make the appropriate claim with that carrier, as soon as is possible.

    For all question regarding warranty and service please email warranty@manhattanportage.sg. Please email pictures of your bag and see if that's covered under warranty.

    *NOTE: removing the label voids the warranty of your bag.

  • Bag Care

    How do I clean and take care of my bag?

    • Normal soil may be removed with spray cleaner or detergent and water. DO NOT BLEACH.
    • Oil or grease should first be treated with a dry cleaning solvent, followed by a spray cleaner or detergent and water.
    • Do not machine wash/ machine dry your bag.
    • Do not have your bag dry cleaned.
    • Never force a zipper to close an over-packed bag.

    How long do your bags last?

    Manhattan Portage bags are extremely durable, as they combine the finest materials (1000D Cordura Nylon by Invista, YKK zippers, Delrin buckles, etc.) with impeccable construction. We use these more expensive materials so that your Manhattan Portage bag will keep up with your life, and not need replacing for many years to come. Depending on how you treat your Manhattan Portage bag, you will keep it anywhere from 5 to 15 years. Some of our customers have kept their bags for over 20 years, but you may want a new color by then!

    What if something still goes wrong with the bag I just bought?

    Although a manufacturing defect is a rare occurrence, mistakes can happen from time to time when bags are hand-sewn and manufactured in large quantities. So this is why we have a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in place for the whole MP product line, just in case. If something goes wrong with your Manhattan Portage bag after you buy it and if this is due to a manufacturing defect, we will take responsibility and replace it free of charge.
